I have had the utmost amazing experience this past week as I have enjoyed the sweet presence of my mom, brother, cousins, Aunt, Uncle, and Grandparents.
My Grandparents are the type of people that are very stern and never show or tell their feelings. My grandmother, unfortunately, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's several years ago. She is quiet young for how fast it has taken over her poor small fragile body. She is still in her 60's and has no clue as to who any one or anything is. My dear Grandpa, has reached depression as he sits and watches the Love of his life, slowly slip away into massive Limbo. The love he has for her is indescribable.
But while my Grandma sits in her bed, it allows quiet a bit of time on my grandfathers hands. So much that he has made an entire Binder of my Grandmothers life and his also.
One Saturday, without words, he walks up to me with this binder hands it to me and walks away. I open it up to see beautiful photograph of my Grandma. I then spent most of the day reading about her life. I was in awe at how much i act like my grandmother. She was the sweetest young lady, but had a little sass added to her personality. I had learned things that i NEVER knew about her. She had lost her father when she was only five years old. The day of his funeral, she would take people by the hand when the walked into the viewing room, and quietly whispered "shh, Daddy's Sleeping",as she led them to his Casket.

There is a lot more information and sweet sweet stories about my grandparents that I could just go on and on writing. But this experienced made me realize the Importance of Family. And getting to know each other. It helps bring families closer. I know this to be true. I am so grateful my family will be able to be together forever.
